Monochromatic Mix

Last weekend I got together with my friend, Kaori, a stylist, and did a shoot together.

Kaori suggested that we visit the Noguchi Gardens in Costa Mesa.
The Gardens is an offsite exhibit that is part of The Isamu Noguchi Museum based in New York.

Doesn't the tiled pyramid behind remind you of the Louvre Museums (in Paris)?

blouse | UNIQLO
striped semi-cropped sweater | Zara
black cigarette pants | Urban Outfitters
necklace | stylist's/Kaori's
clutch | BCBG
spiked loafers | somewhere in NYC

Kaori picked an "all black" theme, and I decided to throw some white in there for contrast.
We also decided to play with layers.

With that being said, I wanted to show you guys this cape I bought over winter break! What do you think? I really like the cape-craze that was trending this past winter season (ie. Olivia Palermo and Alexa Chung's monogrammed Burberry). There was a wide variety ranging from colors, textures, and patterns. My favorite one is a tie between the monogrammed Burberry one and an all-black cashmere one.

Stay tuned for the second part of this shoot!
