Arctic Monkeys

So as some of you might know... I went to see the Arctic Monkeys yesterday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles! I am so excited to have had that opportunity because the Arctic Monkeys are one of my all-time favorite bands!



Because both Blake and I were in a rush from where we were to the concert, I didn't have much time to put together an appropriate outfit even though I've been thinking for days. I ended up wearing a Wildfox baby tank with a black loose cardigan, my cherry 1460 Doc Martens, slightly winged eyeliner, matte red lipstick, with matte black nails. And I carried my envelope clutch.
Originally I intended on wearing a leather jacket but because it was so hot, I just stuck with the cardigan.

In terms of the fashion scene there, most everyone wore dark/black clothing. Think tumblr-esque grunge mixed with (British) punk rock. So I saw a lot of plaid, denim vests, leather jackets, leather pants, high-waisted denim shorts, Topshop high-waisted skinnies, halter tops, band shirts, circle-brimmed hats, circle bowlers hats, circle sunglasses (sunnies indoor heh i know), and (TONS of) AM shirts.  Overall think: "Sky Ferreira x Sleigh Bells x (not as intense version of) Taylor Momsen" fashion.
Shoe-wise I saw a lot of black boots whether it be JC's coltranes (or lookalikes), creepers, a little bit of chelsea boots, and a LOT OF DOC MARTENS!! (different styles not just the 1460s) which made me super happy because I loveeee DM's ♥ :)
One comment on hair- I saw a good amount of space buns, but I wouldn't say that a lot of girls rocked space buns.
Makeup wise- (as Blake agreed on...basically) 45% dark red/purple lipstick, 45% deep red lipstick, and 10% nude lips (the rest of the people who didn't wear any lipcolour). Not a lot of girls wore eyeshadow, but most girls wore either kohl-lined eyeliner or winged liquid liner.

Blake and I had a lovely time at the AM concert, and I definitely had some fan girl moments shrilling and screaming whenever my favorite songs played...and my knees were so sore after dancing to songs like "Fluorescent Adolescent" or stomping to "R U Mine?".
