LUSH Bath Bombs

Hello everybody! I want to tell you about my recent LUSH purchases.
LUSH comes out with a line of special edition collection every holiday season, with the winter holiday collection being their biggest (compared to Valentine's day, Halloween, etc.). This year, LUSH launched about 30 or so holiday products, some repeated from the previous year(s) and others new. I have never bought from their holiday collection, so this year I decided to try it out, and surprisingly I loved it!

I got two bath bombs: the golden wonder (above) and the bombardino bath bomb (below).
The description for the Golden Wonder Bath Bomb ($6.95) says that it has multiple "...layer(s) [that] has something different to offer. This is not for a quick bath because it takes its time, this bath bomb. Its layers of golden lustre, dazzling colours and soluble gold stars are a wonder to behold. First take some time to shake it, listen to the little rattle from within and try to imagine what’s in there. Then drop it in your water and revel in the sweet orange and cognac oils..." -Lush.
I am not going to show you any pictures of it but it definitely was a surprise ;) The scent of the bomb was an orange-y sweet scent. If I had the opportunity to, I would not buy this excessively as the scent did not appeal to me that much, but maybe just another one because it was a fun bomb, plus you could get many uses out of it.
As for the Bombardino bath bomb, the little fizzer was in a cute shape of what I thought to be a holiday ornament with cute eyes on it. It's description reads that it has "...skin-softening cocoa butter and uplifting Sicilian lemon oil..." -Lush.

The bombardino, oh my goodness!! It definitely made my skin silky smooth, and I can say that it is probably my FAVORITE smelling bomb in the entire store even though I have not tried any other yet besides this one and the Golden Wonder, because the bomb smells like "the LUSH store". Yeah, like that amazing smell that lures you into the store, and makes you want to just live in the LUSH store. Yep. That. And more precisely, it's a good mix of shea butter and a 'creamy' smell. When I tossed it into my bath it turned into a murky green color. Not very....aesthetically appealing but man, I didn't care because it's aroma was too good. My skin still smelled delicious the next day when I woke up, and definitely stayed soft too.
In the picture above, is the Snow Globe soap, which was such a big hit during holidays 2012, it sold out in the LUSH stores near me (and online). Thank goodness they still had it at the stores near me this year. What drew me towards the snow globe soap was it's citrus-y scent. It's main notes, I thought, reminded me of lemongrass, lemon, and grapefruit. Snow Globe is a good soap for mornings if you need a wake-me-up, or at night, if you're just an all-around citrus lover like me. This soap reminds me of LUSH's Sexy Peel soap but on crack. Like think Sexy Peel, then take the citrus to the next level. Yum. This soap is not drying at all, my skin definitely still felt silky after use. I used LUSH's Bohemian before and I thought it was very drying, so if you did not like the feeling Bohemian gave but loved the scent, Snow Globe is a good alternative.
I did get a sample of Sexy Peel, loved the scent, but I did also think that it was a tad drying like Bohemian. It has an extra note of 'orange/orange peels' in it.
I also got a sample of Orange Peel, I mean...the name says it all. But if you need specific scent notes: it reminds me of "orange soda". PERSONALLY, not a big fan of it, but my sister liked it.

All of the products I mentioned above are part of the holiday 2013 collection, which unfortunately I don't think is in stores anymore, (or maybe they are, but not getting stock in them anymore) but they still have a little bit left in their sale section with the Buy-One-Get-One deal. I didn't get a chance to try a lot or all of the holiday products, but I just wanted to share with you guys. I might do another LUSH post soon, with their normal products. But I hope everyone is having a happy holiday season!

    1. Yes LUSH is amazing, especially with their "no animal testing/cruelty" policy.

And, thank you Kelly for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoy it! :)
